“One of Satan’s most effective “wiles”is “wait awhile””

Or as we would say procrastination! Our part of the world is never in a hurry and I am not sure that it is procrastination or something different. The way of life here is just so that “different”.

After a time looking at Lot and his procrastination about leaving Sodom before it was to be destroyed. The angel eventually had to drag him out. So easily you can slip into a life of procrastination up here because things are “different”. Gen 19

Had a great 10Km run with Steve, a Southern Baptist missionary, early this morning. It was our first 10Km run on Zambian soil. Embarrassing after being here for 11 years. Had an hour with the children trying to make sense of maths.

Spent the most part of the day sorting out security clearances for Chris’s workers with the local Police. Hence my thinking about procrastination or just being different. Chris is this old white man who has never married and has lived on his farm for the last 30 years. He is now about 85 years old with no fixed income. The community have come to see him as our “father” because he is white. His life has been such a lesson to me, both his successes and his failures.

 

Late this afternoon I was able to take some time to wash my bio diesel. Looking forward to a family evening!!!!
